REMOVING THE DROSS
AN INTERCESSOR'S PILGRIMAGE TO FORGIVENESS

So, the men turned from there and went toward Sodom, but Abraham still stood before the
LORD. Then Abraham drew near and said, “Will you indeed sweep away the righteous with the
wicked?
 Genesis 18:22

Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off
everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles.
Hebrews 12:1

Then Jesus said, “Father forgive them for they do not know what they are doing. And they
divided up his clothes by casting lots.
Luke 23:34

Intercessors stand in the gap before the Lord on behalf of others however, standing in the gap
doesn’t exclude them from experiencing the challenges and difficulties of the world.

Intercessors must allow time for cleansing, purification and refreshing to maintain their
effectiveness as vessels for the Kingdom of God. Unforgiveness ties the hands of God and
creates the breeding ground for unanswered prayers and cracks the bridge between God,
Intercessors, and his people.
